From Photo to Fragrance
An interactive concept for EveryHuman that turns personal photos into fragrance creations people can save, order and share.
- Context
- Student project for Scentronix / EveryHuman
- My role
- Research, concept development and UX/UI design
- Output
- Creation flow and social sharing mockups
The challenge
A fragrance cannot be experienced through a screen. Scentronix asked for a digital mechanism that would give people a reason to share their creation and invite others to participate.
A photo as the starting point
I analysed twelve participation mechanisms and sketched thirteen concepts. During a visit to the Living Lab, a personal memory inspired my own fragrance. This led me to use a photo as a starting point, with an optional description to add context.

From recipient to maker
The shared content combines the original photo, the fragrance creation and an invitation to try it. The recipient uploads their own photo, creates a fragrance and can share the result, starting the loop again.

The outcome
I designed the creation screens and sharing examples for X, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok in Figma. The concept shows the intended experience; its effect on participation and sharing has not been tested with users.
